Saturday 9: Just I Our Choices in Music

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

Another quick Saturday 9 Quiz. Sorry for not being around, but enjoying the fun which was my fathers’ 58th birthday.

1. What was your first favorite song?

The Girl from Ipanema by Frank Sinatra.  I was on all the time for some reason in my house.

2. Who was your first favorite female singer?

I have to admit that Celine Dion was my first favorite female singer, mainly due to my mother’s music collection. I liked it so much that when I was re-doing a song at a karaoke night when I was 10 I made one woman cry from my performance.

3. Who was your first favorite male singer?

Probably Moby – as I mainly got into music after he became popular.  I still listen to some of his tracks, but not that often.

4. Who was your first favorite band?

Oasis.  They were popular at the time and everyone was listening to Wonderwall.

5. Who is your all time favorite band?

It has to be, without a doubt, a Glaswegian band called Amplifico.

6. Who is your all time favorite male singer?

Frank Sinatra.

7. Who is your all time favorite female singer?

Lily Allen is my favorite female signer right now, mainly because most of her tracks are pretty funny. She’s note exactly the most vocal, but still good.  That being said, I’m not too sure if I’ve got an all time favorite.

8. What is your all time favorite LP/CD album?

Daft Punk – Discovery

9. What was your first favorite radio station?

Wow. Take me back. It must have been BBC Radio 4 after about 10pm.  I stayed up late, listened to the radio and heard stories of people that could be considered either awesome or terrifying.

Good choices! Frank Sinatra! He’s awesome – so is Dean Martin. My hubby & I listen to them all the time. (He puts up with my Elvis).

Like that song by Moby & Gwen ..”South Side”.
