Your mum would have been very proud of you. The grief goes on inside but it is only there because you loved her as she loved you. I remember her joy, and your dad's, when you and later your sister were born. There are so many happy memories for you all to tap into- just focus on the fact that she is out of pain and at peace now. She walks with you in your heart, wherever you go, just as she always has. I haven't yet felt the loss of a parent, and I live in fear of the day I do. I know there is grief that we won't see, and you'll probably hear this a million times, but I guess it helps a little to know she is no longer suffering at the hands of a terrible disease. Don't be scared of the difficult moments though, and I hope your family can support each other in this difficult time.
