Have you ever seen something you liked in a book, magazine or design that you liked and hoped to emulate? Not copy, but emulate? That’s how the world goes round, and how art and design styles are created, but it doesn’t meant that once in a while a copy gets thrown in my accident.
And I found myself in that hole recently. I had taken inspiration in the concept of the ‘client worksheet’ for my budding web development website, which was facing a redesign after I had officially made the jump by registering as self-employed, and I had been researching the content for quite some time–planning to create my own with a variety of different yet interlinking questions. But I made a mistake and a clone of another website’s was uploaded and forgotten about.
An open apology for all those involved, as while people make mistakes and those can paint the darkest of lights upon us… it is rarely meant to cause harm.
